Environmental Background

As one of the eight strategic emerging industries, the biomedical industry has been focused on cultivation. Fujian provincial Party committee and government have always attached great importance to the development of biomedical industry, and continuously issued policies to support the cultivation. Xiamen municipal Party committee and government listed the biomedical industry as one of the "top ten hundred billion industrial clusters". In order to vigorously promote the development of biomedical industry, Haicang District planned to build a "Xiamen biomedical port" with an area of 10 square kilometers in 2011, forming a "one hundred thousand" leapfrog development pattern.
